1. Introduction and acceptance
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the Lawtrain website, mobile application, digital workflows, subscriptions, Family Legal Guardian services, support channels, and related features. Lawtrain is the customer-facing platform operated by LawTrine Technologies Pvt. Ltd. By accessing or using Lawtrain, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Cancellation and Refund Policy, Service Delivery Policy, Platform Disclaimer, and service-specific terms displayed during registration, booking, plan selection, or payment.
2. Nature of the platform
Lawtrain is a technology-enabled legal-services access, facilitation, and coordination platform. It helps users discover lawyers, request or book consultations, access structured benefits, submit support requests, and manage service workflows. Unless expressly stated, legal advice, drafting, representation, and other professional legal services are provided independently by the relevant lawyer or professional.
3. Eligibility and authority
You must be legally capable of entering into the relevant arrangement. Where a parent, guardian, representative, franchise representative, organization, or another authorized person acts for a user, family member, dependent, or business, that person confirms that they have the required authority or consent.
4. Account responsibility
You must provide accurate and current information, protect your credentials and OTPs, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Activity performed through your account may be treated as your activity unless it resulted from a platform security failure not attributable to you. Lawtrain may require verification and may restrict access for fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, false information, security risk, or policy violation.
5. Lawyer discovery and consultation booking
Lawyer profiles, specialization, language, experience, location, pincode coverage, fees, slots, and availability may depend on information supplied by lawyers and platform records. Lawtrain makes reasonable efforts to display relevant information but does not guarantee that every profile, slot, or response will always be available or error-free. Consultations may be online, video-based, phone-based, or in person, depending on the service and professional availability.
6. Independent professional relationship
Using Lawtrain does not by itself create an advocate-client relationship between the user and Lawtrain or LawTrine Technologies Pvt. Ltd. A professional relationship may arise only between the user and the selected lawyer or professional according to their engagement and applicable professional rules.
7. Lawtrain Basic
Lawtrain Basic is an annual subscription. The currently approved consumer proposition is Rs. 365 for 365 days, subject to the price and terms displayed at purchase. Current implemented benefits are one eligible covered in-house consultation and a 10% discount on eligible normal consultations. Document review is not an included Basic benefit unless the product is changed and the benefit is expressly displayed in the platform. Eligibility, availability, usage, expiry, renewal, platform, and payment-provider conditions apply. The platform and backend entitlement record are authoritative.
8. Basic purchase channels
The payment method may differ by platform. On Android, an eligible Basic purchase may use Google Play Billing when that purchase channel is enabled. On the website, an authorized web payment provider may be used when available. The method and renewal terms shown at purchase govern the transaction. Historical or migrated entitlements may be maintained according to backend records.
9. Family Legal Guardian
Family Legal Guardian is a structured legal-support arrangement for eligible users and family members. FLG is not an immediate mobile-app payment product. The user must first complete the required introduction process with the lawyer. Where both sides agree and the required lawyer-attachment and eligibility conditions are satisfied, payment may be enabled on the Lawtrain website. The workspace is activated only after backend-verified payment and entitlement activation. The mobile application may show information-only access before entitlement and the existing workspace after active entitlement.
10. FLG members, privacy, and usage
FLG plan duration, tier, benefits, family-member access, consultation quota, professional support, switching rules, maturity periods, cooldowns, and renewal conditions are governed by the plan details and backend records. A dependent or member matter may remain private and may not automatically be visible to the account owner unless it is shared, authorized, necessary for administration or safety, or required by law.
11. FLG cancellation and lawyer change
Submitting a cancellation or lawyer-change request does not automatically deactivate the workspace, detach a lawyer, remove members, reduce quota, or create a refund. Requests are reviewed according to the plan, elapsed period, service usage, professional allocation, operational rules, payment status, and applicable law. Any displayed maturity, cooldown, or maximum-switch limit applies according to the active plan records.
12. Payments and verification
Payments may be processed through authorized payment partners or app-store billing systems. A transaction is successful only after verification by Lawtrain and the relevant provider. Users must review the service, amount, taxes, fees, renewal terms, benefits, exclusions, and refund conditions before payment. Do not pay outside the official flow unless written instructions are sent through a verified Lawtrain channel.
13. Professional fee, platform fee, discounts, and taxes
A consultation checkout may separately identify the lawyer's professional fee, an eligible discount, platform charges, and applicable taxes. The calculation shown by the platform at checkout and confirmed in the payment record is authoritative. Tax treatment may change after statutory registration or legal requirements change. A commercial receipt must not be represented as a GST tax invoice unless a valid GST invoice is expressly issued.
14. Cancellation and refunds
Submitting a request does not create an automatic right to cancellation or refund. Eligibility depends on the service, status, payment verification, service delivery, usage, rescheduling history, professional availability, plan terms, provider rules, and applicable law. Approved refunds are ordinarily returned through the original payment method or another permitted method.
15. Consultation refund principle
A normal consultation refund may be considered when Lawtrain is unable to arrange the consultation after reasonable coordination and permitted rescheduling attempts, subject to verification and manual approval. Where approved under the current business policy, the refundable component is ordinarily limited to the lawyer's base consultation fee. Platform charges, applicable tax components, and payment-provider charges may be retained or non-refundable to the extent permitted by law and disclosed in the applicable checkout/policy.
16. Basic refund principle
Lawtrain Basic is generally non-refundable after successful activation, except for duplicate payment, verified failed activation, or cases required by applicable law or provider rules. Used, expired, transferred, or partially consumed benefits are not automatically refundable.
17. FLG refund principle
FLG cancellation and refund requests are manually reviewed. Refund eligibility depends on the selected payment interval, activation, service usage, elapsed period, professional allocation, and applicable plan rules. No refund is promised for a short 3-month payment interval under the current business policy. For eligible longer intervals, any approved refund may exclude the platform component, taxes, gateway charges, and consumed or allocated service value, subject to the published checkout terms and applicable law.
18. Cyber and security support
Users may submit cyber-scam, fraud, harassment, impersonation, website-security, or related requests. Users must provide truthful and lawful information. Lawtrain may create a reference, coordinate support, or connect the user with a professional. Lawtrain does not guarantee bank reversal, police action, arrest, recovery, remediation, or absence of vulnerabilities.
19. Corporate services
Corporate Legal Assist and other business services may be offered under separate proposals, statements of work, subscriptions, or agreements. Those specific commercial terms prevail for the relevant engagement.
20. Communications
Lawtrain may send service, payment, account, security, consultation, legal, support, and operational communications by email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, app notification, calendar invitation, or another available channel. Promotional communications may be sent where permitted and may be opted out of where an option is available.
21. Acceptable use
You must not misuse lawyer details, personal data, payment systems, support channels, or platform content; impersonate another person; submit false or unlawful information; harass users or professionals; scrape or reverse engineer the service; disrupt systems; upload unauthorized material; or attempt unauthorized access.
22. Platform availability
The platform is provided on an as-available basis. Access may be delayed or unavailable because of maintenance, account or cloud-service restrictions, payment-provider outages, telecommunications issues, cyber incidents, force majeure, or other events beyond reasonable control. Temporary environment or service outages do not automatically create a refund right unless the applicable service and law require it.
23. Intellectual property
Lawtrain, LawTrine branding, software, workflows, content, designs, and materials are owned by or licensed to LawTrine Technologies Pvt. Ltd. No content may be copied, scraped, modified, reverse engineered, sold, or commercially exploited without written permission, except as permitted by law.
24. Third-party services
Lawtrain may use payment providers, Google services, hosting, databases, maps, analytics, email, communications, and other third-party services. Their availability and policies may apply. Lawtrain is not responsible for third-party actions beyond its reasonable control.
25. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended or terminated for fraud, chargeback abuse, unlawful activity, security risk, false information, non-payment, misuse, or material policy violation. Provisions intended to survive, including payment, privacy, intellectual property, disclaimers, dispute provisions, and lawful retention, continue after termination.
26. Disclaimer and limitation
Lawtrain does not guarantee legal outcomes, professional acceptance, uninterrupted operation, recovery of funds, police or government action, or third-party performance. To the extent permitted by law, LawTrine Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, independent professional advice, user-provided inaccuracies, or failures outside reasonable control. Nothing excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
27. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer law and final legal review, courts at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh may have jurisdiction. The parties should first attempt good-faith resolution. Any arbitration clause published here must be reviewed by qualified counsel before reliance.
28. Changes
Services, prices, benefits, workflows, and policies may change. Material updates will be published through the platform or an appropriate communication channel. The version effective when a transaction is completed governs that transaction unless applicable law requires otherwise.
