1. Purpose
This policy explains how cancellation, rescheduling, failed-payment, and refund requests are reviewed for Lawtrain consultations, Lawtrain Basic, Family Legal Guardian, and other services. Submission of a request does not guarantee approval.
2. Consultation rescheduling
The currently implemented consultation flow may permit one reschedule, subject to timing, availability, status, and platform rules. Rescheduling does not guarantee the same lawyer, date, time, mode, or fee.
3. User cancellation and no-show
A user cancellation or no-show does not automatically qualify for refund. Eligibility depends on the time of request, service status, whether the lawyer or user joined, whether professional time was reserved or used, and the applicable checkout terms. Exceptional cases may be reviewed manually.
4. Lawyer cancellation or inability to arrange
If the selected lawyer cannot provide the consultation, Lawtrain may coordinate a replacement or reschedule. A refund may be considered when Lawtrain cannot arrange the consultation after reasonable coordination and permitted rescheduling attempts.
5. Consultation refund amount
Where a normal consultation refund is approved under the current business policy, the refundable component is ordinarily limited to the lawyer's base consultation fee. The platform fee, applicable tax, and payment-provider charges may be retained or non-refundable to the extent permitted by law and disclosed at checkout.
6. Failed or duplicate payment
A payment that is not captured or verified is not a successful purchase. A duplicate debit, verified payment without service activation, provider-confirmed mismatch, or failed technical activation may be reviewed using the order ID, payment ID, provider record, and platform logs.
7. Lawtrain Basic
Lawtrain Basic is generally non-refundable after successful activation. Duplicate payment, verified failed activation, or a refund required by applicable law or the relevant app-store/payment-provider rules may be reviewed. Used, expired, transferred, or partially consumed benefits are not automatically refundable.
8. Family Legal Guardian cancellation
An FLG cancellation begins as a manual review request. It does not automatically deactivate the workspace, detach the lawyer, remove family members, reduce quota, cancel professional commitments, or create a refund.
9. Family Legal Guardian refund eligibility
Eligibility depends on the payment interval, activation status, elapsed period, service access, consultation or quota usage, professional allocation, lawyer attachment, member/workspace usage, and applicable plan rules. No refund is promised for a 3-month payment interval under the current business policy. Refunds for eligible half-yearly or yearly arrangements are reviewed manually and may exclude platform charges, tax, gateway charges, and consumed or allocated value.
10. FLG grace and change rules
Any displayed cancellation grace period, lawyer-change maturity period, cooldown, or maximum-switch limit applies according to the active plan and backend records. A lawyer-change request is not the same as cancellation and does not by itself create a refund.
11. Taxes, platform fee, and provider charges
The treatment of tax, platform fees, app-store charges, payment-gateway charges, and other processing components depends on the transaction, disclosure, provider rules, and applicable law. No statement should be treated as a promise that every component is refundable.
12. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are ordinarily processed to the original payment method or another method permitted by the provider. Review and settlement may depend on identity verification, internal approval, payment-provider processing, banks, UPI networks, card networks, and app-store rules. No instant or universal completion time is promised.
13. How to request review
Email notifications@lawtrain.in or contact +91 73488 33279. Include your registered email or mobile number, consultation or plan reference, order/payment reference, amount, date, and concise reason. Do not send passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, CVVs, or full card details.
14. Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be excluded. Where applicable law or a payment/app-store provider gives the user additional rights, those rights apply.
