1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how LawTrine Technologies Pvt. Ltd., through Lawtrain and related websites, applications, support channels, and workflows, collects, uses, shares, stores, protects, retains, and responds to requests concerning personal data.
2. Information you provide
We may collect name, email, mobile number, profile information, address or pincode, location selected by you, identity or verification details, lawyer-search preferences, consultation information, subscription and entitlement data, FLG member and workspace data, legal-matter descriptions, support messages, uploaded files, cyber-support information, and other information voluntarily submitted.
3. Authentication information
We may process login records, OTP-related records, session information, security events, device identifiers, and Google Sign-In identifiers where that sign-in method is used. We do not ask users to provide their Google password.
4. Payment information
We may store order IDs, payment IDs, provider references, payment status, amount, receipt data, refund-review status, subscription provider, purchase token references where applicable, and service details. We do not intentionally store full card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs, or banking passwords.
5. Device, usage, and diagnostic information
We may collect device, browser, operating-system, IP, app version, page, route, session, interaction, search, referral, error, crash, latency, security, and diagnostic data. This may include a summarized user-activity timeline used by customer support and CareOps to understand service history, investigate technical or business errors, detect fraud, and resolve user complaints.
6. Location information
We may collect pincode, city, district, state, selected location, approximate location, or precise location where the user grants permission for a location-based feature. Location may be processed through mapping or geocoding services where required.
7. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; provide lawyer discovery, consultations, subscriptions, FLG, cyber, and business services; verify payments; manage entitlements; create meeting or calendar information; communicate with users; operate support and CareOps; investigate errors; prevent fraud; improve reliability; comply with law; and resolve disputes.
8. CareOps and operational records
Lawtrain may maintain customer-support notes, activity summaries, service events, error classifications, payment events, and support history. These records help authorized teams understand what the user attempted, identify technical and business failures, assist the user, prevent repeated issues, and maintain an audit trail. Access is restricted according to role and operational need.
9. Sharing with lawyers and professionals
Information reasonably required to provide the selected service may be shared with the chosen or assigned lawyer or professional. Users should avoid submitting information that is not necessary for the service.
10. Service providers and processors
Information may be processed by payment providers, Google services, cloud hosting and databases, email and communication providers, analytics and security providers, map/location services, customer-support tools, professional advisers, and other vendors necessary to operate Lawtrain.
11. Family and FLG privacy
Users must have appropriate authority before providing another person's data. A family member or dependent matter may be restricted according to platform access rules and is not automatically visible to the FLG owner unless shared, authorized, required for service administration or safety, or required by law.
12. Cyber and sensitive submissions
Cyber, fraud, legal, and security requests may contain sensitive facts or evidence. Submit only information necessary for the request and that you are authorized to share. Do not send passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, full card details, or private keys.
13. Analytics, cookies, and local storage
Websites and applications may use cookies, local storage, analytics, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, reliability, diagnostics, fraud prevention, and service improvement. Disabling them may affect functionality. Further details are provided in the Cookie Policy.
14. Legal basis and consent
Information is processed as necessary to provide requested services, perform contractual and operational steps, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate security and fraud-prevention interests, and act on consent where consent is required. Optional consent may be withdrawn through the available mechanism, but withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing.
15. Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and operational safeguards. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Users must protect credentials, use trusted devices, and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
16. Retention
Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, account management, payment and receipt records, tax or accounting needs, legal and regulatory obligations, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, professional obligations, audit, and legitimate operational needs. Raw or high-volume technical logs may be archived securely or summarized according to operational retention rules.
17. Account deletion and retained records
A deletion request does not always result in immediate or complete deletion. We may verify identity, review active services, and retain or de-identify records required for payment, security, fraud, audit, disputes, legal obligations, professional services, or backups. The external process is described on the Account and Data Deletion page.
18. Children and dependents
Lawtrain is not intended for independent use by a child who cannot legally enter the relevant arrangement. A parent, guardian, or authorized adult should manage services involving a child or dependent and confirms that they have the required authority.
19. Cross-border and third-party processing
Some service providers may process information using infrastructure located outside the user's state or outside India, subject to their arrangements and applicable law. We will update disclosures where legal requirements or provider arrangements require it.
20. User requests
Subject to applicable law and verification, users may request access, correction, update, withdrawal of optional consent, grievance review, or account/data deletion by contacting the official support channel.
